LINCOLN LIBRARY LAUNCHING E-SERVICES

Patrons of Lincoln Library can now access many materials without having to leave the comfort of their homes or offices. As a new and expanded service, Lincoln Library, the public library of Springfield, now offers ‘Library on the Go,’ a service for downloadable eBooks, audiobooks, music, and video. Lincoln Library card holders can check out and download digital media anytime, anywhere by visiting Library on the Go (http://libraryonthego.org) or following the link on Lincoln Library’s web site (http://www.lincolnlibrary.info).

Users can browse best-selling and classic titles on Library on the Go, check out with a valid Lincoln Library card, and download to PC, Mac®, and many mobile devices. The installation of free software is necessary to be able to access the titles. For audiobooks, music, and video: OverDrive® Media Console™. To read eBooks, users will need Adobe® Digital Editions. Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including iPod®, Sony® Reader™, Nook™, and many others. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees!
