Several streets near the Capital will be closed or have reduced lanes tomorrow and Wednesday

Several streets near the Capital will be closed or have reduced lanes tomorrow and Wednesday to allow for large crowds who plan to rally and lobby the legislature.

Tuesday, April 20, 2010:

Capitol Street between Second and Third will be closed at 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday, April 21, 2010:

On Monroe between Second and Pasfield, the south parking lane and next two driving lanes will be closed at 8:30 a.m. for bus drop off. North parking lane and driving lane will remain open for traffic use.

Second street between Monroe and Jackson will be closed at 9:00 a.m.

Second to Edwards, Edwards to College, College to Monroe and Monroe to Second street will be closed at 12:00 noon to allow for a march around Capitol complex of about 15,000 – 20,000 people.

All streets will be open to traffic by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21.
