Approximately 2,700 City Water, Light and Power customers lost power at 9:57 a.m. when a cat got into transmission equipment at the Stevenson Drive substation. Customers in the area roughly bound by 11th Street, South Grand Avenue and Lake Springfield are affected. (The cat survived the encounter.)
Power has been restored all customers. Those who remain with electric service problems should call the Electric Trouble Line at 789-2121.
