POWER Magazine Names CWLP’s Dallman 4 Plant of the Year

City Water, Light and Power’s new Dallman 4 Power Station was named Power magazine’s 2009 Plant of the Year. The award, announced in Power’s August 2009 issue, was made as a result of the utility's successes in "negotiating an unprecedented agreement with the Sierra Club that allowed the project to move forward, . . . choosing the latest in coal-fired technology and air quality control systems as the foundation for the city's comprehensive energy policy, and . . . assembling a tightly integrated team that completed the project well before the contractual deadline and under budget," POWER magazine, which has been published for over 125 years, is one of the most recognized and respected information sources for the power generation industry.
