Public Works employee Dan Franck is donating his time this weekend to help with the tornado cleanup in neighboring Loami. Franck will be operating a piece of city owned grapple equipment to help remove debris, branches and trees.
Mayor Tim Davlin applauded Franck for volunteering to help in the cleanup effort. “When tornadoes ripped through Springfield, many of our neighboring communities dropped what they were doing and provide help and assistance to us,” Davlin said. “We are pleased to be able to return the favor and help them get back on their feet.”
“We all know how devastating tornadoes can be. Getting a community such as Loami on the road to recovery by removing downed branches, trees and other debris is a critical first step toward rebuilding homes and returning lives to normal. I appreciate that Dan Franc has volunteered to help our neighbors get back on their feet.”
