Bartlett to leave CWLP

Assistant General Manager and Chief Engineer Jay Bartlett will be leaving City Water, Light & Power to take a new position outside city government. General Manger Todd Renfrow has named Eric Hobbie to replace Bartlett. Mayor Tim Davlin is expected to forward Hobbie's appointment to the Springfield City Council for their endorsement next month.

Bartlett has been with CWLP for some 24 years. He has seen the construction of the new 200 MG coal fired electric generating plant through to completion. It is expected to begin generating electricity for the first time within about a month.
